Great Dinner in Termoli

Sometimes in Italy is is impossible to find a bad meal. Last night was no exception. We headed into Termoli’s Old City and dined on seafood at Ristorante Federico II (see photos in a Foodtopia Moments post). It is a restaurant under the stars on a closed street in the heart of Termoli. It is off of the main square so it is a lot more peaceful and tranquil. We also walked around town and enjoyed the best gelato that I’ve ever had. August 3-5 is the town’s big summer festival in honor of San Basso whose remains are carried through town both nights in a processional. We have dinner reservations on Thursday night as well, this time at a restaurant recommended by the people who recommended the gelato. It is a seafood restaurant, and the menu we saw last night looked incredible.

After getting completely burned on my back on Monday, we took a break from the beach yesterday. Today we are back at Only Sub Beach Club, and loving every minute of the sun, surf, and service. Today, they sliced up watermelon and brought a bowl of it to every table.
