Incredible Night, Incredible Day

Last night Aggie and I headed waited for family that eventually canceled. As soon as they canceled, we headed out to watch the sunset at the end of Campomarino. We found a beach club at the end of the city that was the perfect spot for some photographs. The place has a real island feel to it, while the DJ was spinning many American hits and covers. We had a couple of drinks and returned to the house about 9. In Italy, people go out around 10 so it was still an early night for people who sleep all afternoon.

Ten minutes after getting in, we had company. It was a family friend from my dad’s town. He was visiting with his fiancĂ©. After talking at y house for a little while we decided to all go out to Termoli. I love going to Termoli, but I was so tired when we left at 10:30. We had the best gelato that I’ve ever had, tasted some local oils, wines, and cheeses, watch an Italian fold dancing troupe perform, and walked the entire old city of Termoli. When we got home it was 1 a.m. and I was dead tired.

Today we returned to the beach club and rented an umbrella and chairs. One discovery that we made today is that the town has free WiFi zones and that the water by this beach club is crystal clear. By me it is decently clear, but we are more protected from waves due to the rocks, but that also keeps dirt trapped. Here it is more open and the water is Caribbean clear. It is just breathtaking at this end of the town.
