You can take the man out of America, but you can’t take
America out of the man. Yesterday I cooked up some ribs I had got from the
butcher. I brought some rub seasoning with me from America, and had the butcher
cut me a slab the other day. I rubbed them down, teamed them with some apples,
onions, and apple juice, and then roasted them up. There is no grill here, so
the oven will have to do, and it did well. I paired the ribs with some zucca (butternut
squash) cooked with pomodori pelati (whole peeled tomatoes) and cippole
(onions).
