The following few posts will help you get a better sense of the condo here in Campomarino Lido, Italy (CB). You will see in a lof the the windows part of the blue gate. Almost all Italian windows hve these. The gates close completely and lock for security purposes. They also have slats when raised open just a little which allows for some limited air flow. When we leave the house, we always put the blue gates down. For those of you who have seen the place, only the outside will look different without the foliage. And maybe the couch will too. It was new in 2009. I am in the middle of sanding the fence and cleaning the wall. They are going to be painted this offseason.
