Well after staying up late last night, and with colazione
(breakfast) and pranzo (lunch) prepared the day before, today was a beach day.
It was pretty crowded at the Lidos (beach clubs), and the free beach was also
pretty full. Italy’s summer break, which generally lasts between August 1 and 15
draws many more people to the town, especially on weekends. I woke up late at
8:45 and hit the sand by 10:30. |

Mom and I decided to stay in this evening and watch a movie, "Along Came Polly." We ate a citrioli (cucumber) and pomodorini (little tomatoes) salad and had leftover pizza from last night. Zia stopped by with peppers and eggplant she
had made, so we have another veggie for tomorrow.
