Foodtopia Moments

Rustica is back and better than I ever had it. I went by the bakery this morning, and for the first time this year, I saw the pane rustica (rustic bread) that I love. In the past, I’ve had a piece hours after it came out of the oven and it was delicious. Today, I was going to eat while I walked, but it was too hot. Even 20 minutes later, I had to blow on some bites. Mixed into the dough are olives, formaggio (cheese), and various salsicci (sausages). Warm, it was the best I’ve ever had it.

I also made my first Havana Club Cuban rum drink today. Illegal in America, but delicious in Italy.
