Foodtopia Moments
Today’s Foodtopia Moment is not one because of how amazing
it looks or how delicious it was. I’ve had great home cooked meals for two days
now. Today’s moment is because of how strange it was. Here in the little town
of Campomarino Lido at a little neighborhood bodega, I found nacho cheese
tortilla chips. As trivial as it may seem, all of the people I’ve showed them
to think they are made from potato. The idea of making anything but polenta
from corn is so foreign to the Italians.
