Pranzo today was a thrown together in 10 minutes meal. It
took longer to cook, but the idea was hatched quickly. I cooked up an onion,
tomato and zucchini mixture and a small amount of pasta. I mixed the two and
that was my first course. For my second course, I had a couple of chicken
filets that I chopped and cooked with capers and some pomodori pasata (tomatoes
that have been crushed so seeds and skin are gone. When I was finished cooking
it, I noticed how saucy it was. I though fast, chopped up some of the bread
leftover from yesterday and mixed it into the pan. Then I cooked it about ten
more minutes and the sauce had completed saturated the bread. It may not look
like a 4-star meal, but it tasted like a 5-star meal.
