UPDATE TO: What's colder than cold?

In an earlier post, I mentioned a fire that planes were fighting. I had no idea at the time, but the fire was a 2 minute WALK from my place. I kept seeing the planes dipping down near here and I had no idea why. When I went to the supermarket this afternoon, I saw the burned area, a lot of it still smoldering. It was close enough to a gas station that the one of the planes was dropping foam to keep the station safe. Evidently two planes were dropping sea water and one plane was dropping foam. Although it was close to my place and I was sitting outside watching the planes, the wind was pretty strong in the opposite direction today. I didn't smell anything.
